account 1.PNG When you click on your Account button, you have 4 options:

Settings:
- most of the information under settings is automatically updated by our active directory system.
- email addresses - your school email address is added automatically and it is the only email address that should be tied to your canvas account, even though you have the ability to add others.
- Phone numbers - you do have the option to add your cell phone number in order to get text message notifications.

Notifications:

Notification settings are specific to you and are "global". They can not be adjusted for each course.

Files:
- Each Canvas user gets an online file cabinet. Folders are created for each class. When students submit work, a folder is created for them and a copy of that work is added to the folder so they can access it any time.
- As an instructor, you have the ability to upload files to use on your Class pages. Sometimes it's better to do this. We will talk about those times
ePortfolio
- If you were so inclined, you could put together a portfolio of your work through Canvas. We will not be spending any time on this, but if you would like more information, you can access it here.
